The problem

Every clinician who trained to take care of patients has watched the job become something else.

Charting for billing, not for care. Coding to defend against denial, not to document the visit. Prior authorization for medications your patient has been on for years. Insurance networks that dictate who you can see and how you can care for them. Documentation systems built for coding, not for clinical thinking.

The problem isn't clinicians. The problem is the system that's been built around clinicians. And the more that system compounds — more forms, more clicks, more prior authorizations, more denials — the less time and energy is left for the reason clinicians did this in the first place.

There's a moment most primary care clinicians hit where they realize the model isn't going to fix itself. The clinical partner practice serving Vine members is built for that moment.

What the practice offers

Three principles that shape everything else

The clinical partner practice serving Vine members is virtual-first, built around the principles below.

The patient relationship comes first

Vine members join because they want a consistent care team relationship — not a rotating cast, not a symptom-check-in-a-box. Providers in the clinical partner practice have the space to actually know their patients over time. Continuity is a structural feature, not a marketing line.

No insurance billing

The clinical partner practice doesn't bill insurance. No claims, no coding-for-reimbursement, no prior authorization, no denials, no appeals. Documentation is for care, not for defending payment. What that removes from the workday is significant.

Time with patients

The practice is built around real primary care visits — not billable-encounter throughput. Provider time is structured around what patients need. The workflow reflects the professional identity, not the reverse.

The practice model

How the practice is structured at the clinician level

Virtual-first, serving Vine members through the Vine platform.

Virtual-first care delivery

Visits are conducted through the Vine platform — video and video-supported care. No commute, no physical clinic overhead, no waiting room. Providers work from where they work best.

Consistent panel

You're assigned a panel of Vine members who become your patients within the clinical partner practice. Members stay with their assigned provider — the continuity feature Vine members are choosing when they join. Panel structure is designed for a sustainable workload.

Care team support

Providers work with a care team, not alone. Support for coordination, refills, and follow-up is part of the practice structure — designed to keep the provider's time on the work only a provider can do.

Platform-based workflow

The Vine dashboard is the workflow — scheduling, documentation, patient records, orders, and coordination all through one platform. No paper. No fax. No standalone EMR that doesn't talk to anything else.

Who we're looking for

Clinicians who want a different professional experience

Primary care physicians

MD and DO family medicine, internal medicine, or general practice physicians who want to practice primary care without the insurance-billing overhead. Licensed or licensable in Vine's current service areas.

Nurse practitioners

Family nurse practitioners and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioners with primary care experience. Licensed or licensable in Vine's current service areas.

Physician assistants

PAs with primary care experience, credentialed for primary care practice in Vine's current service areas.

The clinical mindset we're building around

Beyond credentials, the clinical partner practice is looking for clinicians who value the patient relationship as the core of primary care, are comfortable with a virtual-first workflow, want to work in a supportive care team structure, and are ready to leave behind insurance-billing infrastructure. If that describes you, we want to talk.

How to join

The path is intentionally lightweight

Step 01

Introduce yourself

Reach out through the Talk to us form. Tell us who you are, where you practice, and what draws you to a different model. A conversation, not a formal application.

Step 02

Meet the team

If there's mutual interest, you'll have a conversation with the clinical partner practice leadership. This is where you learn how the practice actually runs, day-to-day, and where we learn how you think about primary care.

Step 03

Credentialing and onboarding

If we move forward together, credentialing and onboarding are handled by the clinical partner practice with support from Vine. You'll be brought into the Vine platform, oriented to the workflow, and connected with your care team support before you see your first patient.

Compensation, panel structure, and practice specifics are discussed directly during the conversation. We keep the specifics off the marketing page — those conversations belong between us.

Compare the practice models

Not a comp comparison — a practice-model comparison

The contrast is with traditional fee-for-service primary care that runs on insurance billing.

The arrangement

How Vine and the clinical partner practice fit together

Vine Health is a healthcare membership brand and MSO (management services organization). Vine handles the operational side — the membership platform, the member experience, enrollment and billing of membership fees, the technology, and the brand.

The clinical partner practice — a separate state-appropriate professional entity — handles the clinical side. That includes all clinical decisions: diagnosis, treatment, care plans, prescribing, referrals, and how care is delivered to each patient. Vine does not direct, review, or dictate any of it. Clinicians in the practice have full clinical autonomy.

This separation is not a formality — it's the standard MSO / clinical partner practice structure required by state corporate practice of medicine rules. Vine supports the practice operationally so clinicians can focus entirely on care.

Vine is not health insurance. The clinical partner practice does not bill insurance, does not participate in insurance networks, does not perform utilization review for insurance, and is not subject to insurance-driven clinical decisions. Members carry their own coverage strategy for services outside primary care (hospitalization, surgery, emergency care, specialists).
